Ab Lounge 2 Review

Time for a review of the Ab Lounge 2 Abdominal Exerciser . . .

Most people dislike doing crunches because of the pain and the sometimes uneasy position you have to assume to get those washboard abs.  The Ab Lounge 2 promises an effective abdominal workout without the usual neck and back strain that goes with it.

You may be familiar with this ab machine from the fitness infomercial. There is an entire product line, some of them promoted by fitness guru Tony Little.

This particular ab exerciser is basically a chair on the floor that helps you to work out your upper abs, lower abs, and obliques. It has a unique rolled steel frame that can support a maximum user weight capacity of 250 pounds.

The sturdy frame measures 39.5 x 44.5 x 30 (W x H x D), offering enough space for most individuals.  The seating material is securely stitched to the frame, preventing wear and tear on the equipment.

Let's look a little closer at what this abdominal exercise machine offers  . . .

Ab Lounge 2 Review

There is an instruction manual to guide you in assembly.  The needed tools are also included so that putting it together is relatively easy and would take you just half an hour to set it up.

In fact, the unit is almost 90% pre-assembled.  You just need to put in some screws and bolts to position the stability bars and handles in place, plus hook in a couple of elastic cords and you are ready to go.

A workout video and nutrition guide is included with the package.

The Ab Lounge 2 abdominal exerciser gives a sort of "jackknife" motion that intensifies focus on the abdominals.  You can perform eight different abdominal exercises for a complete abdominal workout.

It allows you to work on the muscles in your upper and lower abdominals as well as your obliques without the difficulty that comes with doing crunches on the floor.  It's designed to give your body--especially the head, neck and back--much needed support during the entire workout routine.

Unlike other popular abdominal machines, the Ab Lounge 2 is also easy on your knees.

If you suffer from lower back pain, exercisers such as this one provide a comfortable way for you to still work on your abs.  It is also a good choice for those who want to bring variety and fun to normally boring abs exercises.

Other positives include the quality of the construction. Consumers report that this machine is built to last.

Regarding drawbacks--although the unit folds for storage, users feel that the unit is too bulky, even when folded. It's doubtful that you could store it under your bed.

Better to find a place that you can place it permanently. (Hopefully in a room where you won't be able to ignore it!)

Overall, many users users attest to the quality of results they achieve from using this ab exercise machine. It's worth keeping in mind that no fitness product can work miracles--getting washboard abdominals requires a balance of exercise and proper diet.

But if fitness equipment such as this one can help make your workout just a bit easier, and more effective, then it's worth the price.

Summary

For a fitness product that is advertised primarily via the sometimes-notorious exercise equipment infomercials, the Ab Lounge 2 has earned suprisingly strong reviews from a large number of users.  It's well worth consideration.
