Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Review

The Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill is the most lavishly appointed cardio machine in the Bowflex treadmill line, with lots of features.

It comes with a 3.0 continuous duty horsepower motor, which is more than enough power for walkers or runners. The motor attains speeds of 0.5 to 11 miles per hour.

Also exceptional: the console includes 15 workout programs, including two that you can create yourself.

Other programs focus on heart rate calculations, and body mass index.

This treadmill also folds, for convenient storage.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill - Reviews Summary

Positives . . .

Almost across the board, the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill earns high marks for quality. In fact, Consumer Reports rated this aerobic machine top buy in the folding treadmill category.

Reviewers universally praise the Bowflex treadmill's sturdy build.  This isn't a wobbly, creaky piece of exercise equipment that’s going to break down on you the minute you crank up the speed. At three hundred pounds, it's near health-club quality, durable and solid.

Assembly appears to be relatively simple. Most consumers report being able to assemble the treadmill within an hour (tools are included).

Users have also noted that the machine runs smoothly, and quietly.  Because of the 3 HP continuous-duty motor, it can handle inclines and acceleration with ease.

Worried about your knees or joints?  The Strike Zone deck provides a soft landing, and the two-ply belt is built to last.

Taller or heavier users also benefit from the spacious running deck.  It measures 20 inches wide by 60 inches long, offering more room than most other home treadmills.

Drawbacks . . .

At three hundred pounds, this Bowflex treadmill is quite heavy, and can prove difficult to move inside your residence.

Because of its dimensions, it may be too wide for doorways once assembled.  You'll probably want to assemble it inside the room where you intend to keep it.

Some users have reported that even though the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill folds, because of its weight and size, it's still difficult to move.

Other criticisms include: a weak fan, and difficulties using the console to create custom exercise programs.  Many reviewers have found that the handgrip heart rate monitor is also slow to provide readings.
