Eclipse Elliptical Trainer
Review
Let's check out the Eclipse
Elliptical Trainer . . .
The elliptical is the preferred form of home workout for many people,
largely because the movement is comfortable and extremely low impact.
Just about anyone can
get in a high calorie burn workout on the Eclipse elliptical,
whether you are completely healthy or have some health problems that
require a lower impact machine.
The Eclipse elliptical trainer is a reasonably priced option which
includes all of the basic
features required to get into shape in the privacy of your own home. It
isn't as durable as a fitness club quality elliptical trainer and it
only comes with a limited 1-year warranty, but it is more than
satisfactory for individual users who will not be
putting it through vigorous workouts.
It comes with all of the technology that makes workout equipment
suitable for residential
use these days, such as a magnetic resistance system. This allows you
to change levels of resistance to make the workout more or less
intense. It also ensures a quiet, smooth ride with limited jerking
around between adjustments.
There are 12 different levels of resistance, which is more than enough
for any home user to continually raise the bar on their own physical
fitness. You will be able to go higher on the resistance and increase
your speed with time, thus allowing your body to remain challenged so
you do not stall out on your health and weight loss progress.

Eclipse
Elliptical Trainer - Review
The Eclipse 110HR/A also comes with a LCD console which
provides basic feedback, including:
* Speed
* Distance
* Time
* Calories Burned
* Heart Rate
Heart rate is shown in real time and changes throughout the workout,
allowing you to
consistently change the workout to stay within your optimal fat burning
zone. Your heart
rate is monitored through hand grips with built-in sensors so you never
have to stop your workout or even slow down to get this reading.
The console also comes with 12 preprogrammed workout options plus a
manual mode, heart rate controlled program and a user program to set in
your own workout parameters. This ensures you will never get bored or
run out of options.
To ensure safety, the Eclipse 110HR/A elliptical trainer comes with a
water
bottle holder to ensure you never become dehydrated or have to stop
your workout due to thirst. It also features oversized pedals with a
slip resistant surface design.
If there is one flaw with the Eclipse elliptical trainer, it might be
that the stride length is only 15 inches. While this is adequate for
many users to efficiently
stretch out their
legs and hit full stride length, there are other models on the market
with stride lengths
between 16 and 20 inches. If you are average height then you will
likely find this model
suitable, but taller users may need something longer for comfortable
use.
The bottom line is that the Eclipse elliptical is safe for
users up to 275 pounds and offers a wide variety of preprogrammed
workouts for great variety.
It is a great option if you are looking for something to use
occasionally or for lighter intensity workouts at home.
