Gazelle Edge Exercise Glider - Review

The patented dual-action split suspension offers a broad range of motion and total freedom of movement as you glide.  You can start doing a slow walk and gradually progress into a full run. At any level of speed, the smooth, gliding motion reduces strain on your lower back, knees, and ankles.

Constructed with solid, rolled steel that can hold up to 250 lbs, the glider is durable and sturdy.  Don't worry about losing your balance: the extra wide non-skid foot platforms will keep you stabilized.  And with its high-density foam covering, the handlebars offer a comfortable grip, too.

You need only about 3 feet of clearance in front of you and at your back to use this aerobic equipment. Also try to go slowly the first time as you get your bearings, and then gradually increase your pace.

Features to track your progress are included, too. The machine comes with a user-friendly computer display that provides feedback on your speed, distance, time, and the approximate number of calories you have burned during your workout.

One downside is that the exercise glider does not offer the option to raise the resistance level. So once your cardio capacity increases after you've used the Gazelle for a while, you may find that you need another way to challenge yourself.

Some users have reported that the equipment squeaks after extended use. To fix this, simply lubricate the affected areas with a small amount of WD-40 as suggested in the owner's manual, and it will operate noiselessly again.

The Gazelle Edge is shipped partially assembled. Most users have reported completing assembly within an hour.

Storage is also convenient.  You can fold it after use by snapping the two foot platforms on the arms and then sliding the frame together. The unit weights about 40 pounds, lightweight enough to be easily moved.  It can be stored in a closet, or under a bed.
