Not the Gazelle Edge Glider

I have had a no name glider for years and absolutely loved it. I get totally bored unless my mind is doing something else so I play Dr. Mario on the N64 while I glide and can spend 2 hrs gliding, playing and loving it. (Obviously, I don't use the arm grips.)
My glider finally cracked the casing that held the footpads in place so I bought a Gazelle Edge Glider. It was easy to put together regardless of reviews I read and I was up and running in 30 minutes. My old glider was very restricted in stride, but I was able to adjust the tension and could get up a good sweat in 20 mins. I loved the range of movement of the Gazelle, but that was the only benefit. On the one I bought, there was no tension adjustments.
My feet were constantly moving and I spent more time readjusting them on the footpads than I did gliding. I eventually had straps made to tie my feet to the footpads. I couldn't wear running shoes or the straps would fall off, so I worked out in Berkinstock sandals.
The straps scrapped the skin off one of my feet and I hadn't worked up a sweat in 45 mins. Lucky for me, our hired man is a genius with the welding torch so he fixed my old one and I am back to doing what I love. Gliding and playing Dr. Mario
Maybe things would have worked better if I were using the handles, but that is something I will never know, cause I am taking it back to Walmart.
