Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bike - Review

The Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike is an upright-style bike that is perfect for a full total body workout.  It is ideal for both rehabilitative and general fitness purposes.

It features a an air-based resistance system.  The large flywheel operates on wind resistance, enabling you to pace yourself as you work out.

No need to worry if you are putting too much stress on your knees or legs, or if you are not getting the right workout for your lower body.  The Airdyne exercise bike offers only as much resistance as you can handle.

Essentially, the faster you pedal, the harder it gets because of the increased wind resistance.

If you are a beginner to exercise or are working to get fit after a long layoff, you can slow your pace to a level that your doctor recommends for you.  However, if you are one of those who are in tiptop shape and working hard to maintain it, you can exercise at a faster, more challenging level.

The smooth pedaling motion also creates cool air that helps cool you down as you exercise.

The Airdyne has dual-action handle bars that allow overhanded and underhanded grips.  These are linked to the pedals that incorporate arm motion with your foot pedaling to facilitate a good workout for your upper body as well, mostly the arms with good involvement of your shoulders and chest. The arm and leg motions are synchronized to simulate your natural movements.

No need to worry about durability. The Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike is big and heavy with a steel frame design, weighing in at 96 pounds.

It has a maximum user capacity of 300 pounds, and measures 22.5 x 48 x 50 inches (W x H x D.)

If you wish to move it across the room, the bike includes small transport wheels integrated at the front of the frame, for easy maneuvering.

The height-adjustable seat is extra-padded to provide additional comfort and support. A low step-over height make it easy to mount and dismounting from the exercise cycle.

Monitoring your progress is simple with the Schwinn Airdyne. A comprehensive electronic LCD display gives feedback throughout your workout. You can monitor time, distance, calories burned, calories per hour, RPM, and workload level.

It also has a built-in heart rate monitoring system, which will help you achieve your target heart rate, for optimal results.
